ABOUT

Quote Sheet Aug 2023__edited.jpg

For more than two decades, Peter Cincotti has distinguished himself as one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters and pianists of his generation, building a sound that moves fluidly between pop, jazz, soul, and contemporary songwriting. He’s shared the stage with a diverse group of iconic artists ranging from Ray Charles to Andrea Bocelli, while the The New York Times described him simply as "Going on Legend."

A born and bred New Yorker, Cincotti made history at 18 years old when his self-titled debut album reached #1 on the Billboard Jazz Chart, making him the youngest artist ever to achieve that distinction. It marked the beginning of a career that spawned sold out performances in some of the worlds most prestigious venues, from Carnegie Hall in New York and L’Olympia in Paris, to stages throughout Europe, Asia, and beyond.

His albums have been produced by music icons such as Phil Ramone and 16-time Grammy Award winner David Foster, and have yielded original songs such as Goodbye Philadelphia which became an international favorite. Along the way, Cincotti has collaborated with an eclectic range of artists, from Seal to David Guetta, reflecting the musical versatility that has remained a hallmark of his work.

In 2023, Cincotti released Killer on the Keys, combining autobiographical originals while honoring piano icons ranging from Billy Joel and Jerry Lee Lewis, to John Lennon and Lady Gaga. That same year, his original holiday song Because It’s Christmas reached #25 on the U.S. Top 40 Billboard chart and #3 on the Billboard Independent Artists chart.

His global perspective and genre-defying approach come to life on Cincotti’s latest project In Color, an expansive collection of original music unfolding in three parts. Featuring an extraordinary roster of collaborators—including Angélique Kidjo, Richard Marx, Marcus Miller, Chris Botti, and artists from around the world in multi-language duets—this body of work broadens Cincotti's musical palette while retaining the cinematic storytelling, piano playing, and melodic sensibility that have defined his career.

Beyond the recording studio, Cincotti’s career has crossed over into film, television, and fashion. His music and performances have appeared in major films including Spider-Man 2, he has represented global fashion houses including Ermenegildo Zegna and Tod’s, and appeared as himself in the acclaimed Netflix series House of Cards.

In his native New York City, Cincotti has sold out multiple residencies at the legendary Café Carlyle, prompting

Town & Country magazine to declare that Peter is “Already a New York Institution.”

From his record-breaking debut album to In Color, Cincotti has evolved into an internationally celebrated performer, songwriter, and recording artist with a body of work—and a musical identity—entirely his own.
